Claymates are for children 3 to 93.
According to the Consumer Products Safety Commission Guidelines for determining age appropriateness of toys, age 3 is the youngest appropriate age because many younger children interpret the clay as something that can be eaten. No worries about that; it’s non-toxic. But at age 3 kids begin to be able to manipulate clay into specific shapes. By age 4 or 5 (of course each child is different) children’s creations start to resemble what it is meant to represent.
No worries! Claymates clay is not meant to be a meal, but all of our clay is completely non-toxic. Passes all USA and the more stringent EC European safety regulations. Conforms to ASTM D-4236 and is ACMI (Arts & Creative Materials Institute) Certified. Of course, if you’re worried … call your pediatrician or vet.
Those lines are there by design! They enable the clay to stick there more firmly. This is a super important feature for capes or arms or tutus.

Changed your mind?
If your Claymates are unopened, ship them back to us within 30 days — securely packaged — and we will refund your purchase price. Please email us to get the process started. Be careful packing; we cannot refund your money if goods are received in unsaleable condition.
Arrived Damaged?
We carefully and lovingly check your shipment before it heads to you, and we take great care to pack them securely. Please take a picture of the damaged shipment and contact us ASAP so we may put in a claim with the shipper.
Not yet. Don’t think so. We’re sorry. But … maybe? Get in touch with us and we’ll see what we can do for your friends overseas.
We do our best to ship your order within 2 business days of you placing it. If it’s the crazy holiday toy season, this may take a little longer. We have no elves :)
Depending on where Claymates are traveling to, they will arrive in about 4-7 days to larger metro areas and in 5-10 days to more remote areas. We will email you a tracking number so you can follow Claymates’ journey to you.
